There was evening and there was morning......a few days

It’s been a few days! How is everybody doing?  Here are a few highlights of the past few days:
On Tuesday this week, the Clarks kept the kids and Brent and I went to eat at Lone Star and walked around the mall by ourselves. This was a much needed few hours. THANK YOU TOM AND CAROL!!
Birth Day - 5.25.2011 – Jackson Uriah Vest is born to Tobi and April Vest!! He is so cute and lots of hair. A little bit of chunk – weighing in at 9 lbs, 8oz and 21 inches long! He will be called Uriah. J We were invited to eat with our new friends, Mark and Kim DeJager and their kids, Chris, Lindsey, and Jonathan. Luke, a family friend, came over a little bit later. The DeJager’s work at Morning Star and their kids and Luke are volunteers there. We also got to call home while at their house. We had very good time and borrowed legos and movies. THANK YOU MARK AND KIM
Market Day  - 5.26.2011
Our new place has been really good. More room and more normal. On Thursday, we went to the market with the DeJager family, Kayla, and Luke. The market was pretty interesting.  We had a good time. To make sure our camera wasn’t spotted, we decided not to take any pictures at the market.  Brent gave the kids were given 3 soles to buy something for themselves. What fun is it if you can’t buy anything at the market! Hugo picked Spiderman stickers, a plastic sword (he likes Narnia). Olenka picked a toy doctor’s kit. Cesia slept through most of it. Thanks goodness!
(please feel free to imagine the Misson Impossible theme song playing here) There was bit of “excitement”, Brent got a phone call saying we needed to get out of the market and go back to where we are staying. Some ladies had shown up at SNA pitching a fit about the kids being adopted. So we high-tailed to a taxi cab and took off for the house!!
Since we came back during lunch, Kim called the DeJager guys and asked them to bring us pizzas (from Pizza Hut!) to the house, then it was off to the beach! We can walk to it. The beach is not the same as Gulf Shores. The sand is darker and is more like mud. But the waves are bigger! It really was a fun day.  Hugo and Olenka love the beach. The guys were kind enough to take them in the water and play with them. Later, when we can, we will put a few videos on here. Cesia likes to walk on the sand in her squeaker shoes, but that’s about it. Kayla took some good pictures and entertained Cesia. We got a few homemade shell bracelets from some girls who were selling them along the beach.  It really was a great day! We ended it by finishing watching The Rescuers.

House Day – 5.27.2011
Today we just hung around the house. We have been so grateful for being able to borrow legos, movies, and a Wii! WOW! This helps very much! We went to eat at local seafood restaurant, it was great! We got a few groceries and came back. Hugo and Olenka are playing Narnia. Very peaceful right now.
Brent has been cooking some. We tried to make syurp from scratch for our pancakes (also made from scratch) Totally failed!! HAHA!! Mixing brown sugar, white sugar, water, and some milk (to thicken) only results in a dirty looking liquid with lots of foam!!
