Changes

"In every change, He faithful will remain." That's the part of the song from Be Still, My Soul that always gets me everytime I sing this to Elizabeth while she is going to sleep. The irony is that I'm singing it to her and that I am singing it! She has had so much change in her short life. God has been faithful to His little creation.
This adoption has been a HUGE change for me and Brent, probably more than you can imagine. God has been faithful to us. I'm so thankful that faithfulness is His nature. I haven't really handle this new change in our lives very well. There have been more bad days than good days. There have been some really horrible days where you just want to give up. Everyone in our house has yelled at each other more than I can count and with all the tears that have been cried in our house, each of us could have our own river. But in all of this God has been faithful.

I decided to call it quits on the blog for awhile (which obviously didn't last long!) because I noticed that on the side of the blog there is a profile and it says: "is what happens after the airport." I haven't been good at saying what really happens after the airport. I wasn't sure why I was blogging. I was taking pictures just to put on the blog instead of just trying to become a family and enjoy the moment.

Fall is coming quickly. The season is about to change. We have a lot of changing in our house, so this blog is along for the ride. The look and purpose of this blog may change, many times even. I hope you will hang in there with us.
I guess this is our season of change.

Ecclesiastes 3

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
