Thanksgiving
We went to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving. We usually do. I love that house. I have fun memories of many Thanksgivings there. There is the hallway that seems to go on for miles. The rooms decorated in flowery print wallpaper. The gold shaggy carpet that is perfect for laying on to color or take a nap. Then there is the dining room and the living room. As you enter, you are transported back in time where you waltz through the antebellum rooms, dressed in a gown that came from Scarlett O'Hara's closet. Which one do you want?
Gingerly sitting on the couch, your pinky pops up, automatically ready for a tea cup full of a warm drink. There are only whispers spoken here and touching anything is out of the question!
I did sneak Molly and Elizabeth into the room for a quick photo or two. I wished for lacy dresses and pearls to appear for the girls to wear, but the wishing fairy must have taking her post-Thanksgiving nap because none appeared.
The girls are too cute, so you won't notice the blue jeans. By-the-way, the sunlight was perfect!
Telling secrets
See, you didn't even notice the blue jeans did you?

Above is the girl crew watching a movie.
Friday was the best day ever! (you just said that in your Rapunzel voice didn't you?)
My mom and I went shopping. Sans kids. What? It was so great. We got excellent parking spaces. We did not have to wait in lines hours long. We got the good deals. We talked about memories of my grandmother. On a whim, over a dinner, we decided to go see the movie, Frozen. SHH! Don't tell the kids! They don't know! What a great movie. Even better, we sat through the whole movie without someone having to go to the bathroom! The music was incredible. I was so excited about that I bought the girl's the Frozen books at Wal-Mart. Maybe I will take them this weekend to see it.
Don't worry, the girls and Uriah had their own fun and went roller skating with Nana and Aunt Lisa. Ben went with PawPaw and Brent to a friend's house for the manly bonding of shooting at targets in a field.
I managed to resist the urge to watch Christmas movies until after Thanksgiving. So now Christmas here we come! OK. So, I did watch the last hour of one Hallmark movie late last week, but I wasn't sleepy! Seriously, I love Hallmark movies. For all their cheesy-i-ness and predictability, I love them.
Now for the tree and decorations. Fireplaces and hot chocolate. Scarves and leggings. Music and dancing. And mostly, a tiny Baby in a manager.
Christmas, here we come!
