Fun Mail

A few weeks ago my friend Laura held a giveaway on her blog. It was such a fun idea! I entered the contest and then won! WHAT?! I never win anything, not even a free cheeseburger, so I was pretty stoked to win a prize from her!

Laura is my friend that I have never met. We have written letters, exchanged pictures, and comment on Facebook, but we have never met face to face. So mysterious! I know your dying to know how this is possible, so I won't keep you in suspense. She loves Jesus and went to serve at the children's home where she met our little kids! After we adopted the kids or maybe even before we left for Peru. she contacted us. Ever since, we have been buddies. I imagine that in a real life meeting, we would never stop talking or laughing.

Here was my grand prize:
*Candy from another country - I love candy from other countries! It brings back great memories.
*Red Currant preserves - shut the front door, I almost pulled out my Anne of Green Gables DVDs!!
You should know that visiting PEI and Green Gables is totally on the bucket list. I imagine there would be a lot of jumping around and squealing upon arrival to Green Gables.
*Some mask samples for a fun make-over night.
*Cute note cards. Is there such a thing a too many note cards? I don't think so.
*AND chocolate fondue from Epicure! How much fun is that!?! Move over Melting Pot, Epicure is stepping up!

Elizabeth helped me open the package. She was just as excited as I was to open everything. We inspected each item was much excitement. Elizabeth wanted to eat all of the candy right away. I opened the Caramilk and we had a few pieces.  I had to convinced her to save some pieces for the everyone else!

Maybe one day, I will do a giveaway! Laura's gift was inspiring!

Ahh, Anne Shirley! If you ever do make it up to this lovely, snow-filled country, I'd be happy to tour you around!

Hope you enjoy the sugar rush :)
