And ya'll said this parenting thing was hard . . .

Well today was probably more like a grandparents day for us. We left at 9 am and went to pay the kids a visit at the children's home. Not really sure what the day would hold (which will probably be true for the rest of our stay), but we were pleasantly surprised by what was in store. After "show and tell" to all of the classes of my new mommy and daddy, "I choked back the tears several times today, hearing Momma, or Pappi" they said "Take the kids with you and bring them back tonight!" Say what? So off we went.

As we entered the town where we are staying our adoption reps exited the vehicle and said, you are doing so well, we are going to leave you now and go and take care of business. see you at 1. It was 10:30, Thankfully Carol, was willing to offer us some assitance in purchasing some items such as a stroller, milk and some bottled water. The Clark family have been so encouraging for the last several weeks via email, and the past 2 days.

We spent the early part of the afternoon playing in an arcade. The ball pit seemed to be a huge hit. We then caught a taki for $2 and headed to meet our reps for lunch, where I realized these 3 children are definately mine. We watched them eat for nearly 45 minutes, a steady stream of chicken and fries and salad and Inka Kola (a peruvian delight). After lunch we returned to the hotel and played with bubbles and a special toy that we had brought for each child. We also played Frisbee and Hide and go seek. Needless to say, when we left at 5 to return to the childrens home for church, both hugo and olenka fell asleep in the van and began to sweat all over me ( or maybe it was me all over them.) We stayed for Prayer meeting and church service, where we heard person after person pray for our children by name and their new family.

Oh Wow, you have to hear this precious beautiful laugh!

The look on Marianne's face says" Iam not sure what this is or what it does." She is dowing incredible at being a mommy!

We returned to the Hotel around 930, and walked into our room, where Marianne turns and extends a hand of welcome with " Hi, I'm Marianne, Are you Brent? Nice to Meet You!" We have our hands full to say the least, but the love and acceptance has been unbelievable, both from our children and the people involved with the childrens home. Tom, The director of Morning Star, and I were talking about how smooth adoptions from their home have been, and we both agree completely that the work of the Lord is evident.  I have tried to post a video several times, but I think the server is just to slow. I have been uploading 1 video to my youtube acount for an hour and it is 2 minutes long, So I think pictures will have to do. We love you guys, see you in a few weeks.
Adious,
Senor Pappi Brent

PS The title of this blog does not convey the true beliefs of anyone who may what to give me parenting advice. IT IS A JOKE. have a laugh with me or at me, I am trying to stay sane :)
