Good Morning World, Read at your own risk.,

We have survived the first night, and all the children are accounted for. I am so glad they slept in till 7. Yesturday was so hard on me in ways that I cannot express on this blog. As we signed papers to become the legal gaurdians on my birthday, I was so excited for theri future and our family, but new the hard parts were coming very soon. The school threw a party for Olenka and Hugo in their individual class. Olenkas was hilarious and so much fun. We danced and played games with her at the center of attention, as seems to be a very regular occasion. Then we went into Hugos class where his friends began to tell Hugo how special he was to them and how much they were going to miss him. The first girl to share, began to cry and could not finish. All of his best friends were crying as well as daddy and mommy and all of his teachers. His House Father was asked to speak, but politely refused, because he could not speak without weeping. They then asked me to speak and I had to do the same, politely refuse because I was unable to compose myself. After class Hugo hugged all of his classmates individually in a long embrace, which was extremely hard, His house father Alberto, embraced him at the door for an extremely long emotionally tearful hug. He never shed  a tear until Alberto, who lead him to the Lord and baptized him, began to cry. During this transition, one of his best friends named Segundo came and hugged me and began to cry uncontrolable. He is one of three siblings in another sibling group that are in need of a family. He and his two sisters are absolutely precious, I do ask that you pray with us for them to be adopted by a christian couple very soon. As we were walking from the classroom, Segundo grabs my hand, and says in English, "Hugo is a very good friend, He is my best friend, I will miss him. But I am proud for him." I cried for 20 minutes straight. After Lunch we packed up the clothes for the children, well most of their clothes, if you read mariannes blog, we seemed to have forgotten some important things.
We brought gifts for all of the children, and Parents at Morning Star, as a thank you. The boys really loved their airplanes. Everyone came outside to say good-bye. The were so sweet and encouraging, but the looks on their faces kinda ripped your heart out. We got in the van, Hugo looked at me and extended both arms. My 10 year old boy climbed into my lap and went to sleep, and Olenka laid her head on me and crashed out as well. We have seen sleeping to do a coping mechanism already.

After the for ever long doctors office visit, we came back to the hotel and ate pizza for my birthday dinner. Bedtime is normally 8, pizza arrived at 750. We devoured the pizza and headed to bathtime and bedtime. Watching them play was hilarious. As we prepared for bed, we read our Bible story and said our prayers, but the excitement level was still extremely high. The were laughing and giggeling and cesia didnt want to go to sleep. Marianne put Cesia in the stroller and quickly fell asleep. We got up and had breakfast this morning, where they continue to show me how much they can eat and are now about to go put a puzzel together on the deck before heading to the store to buy the things we left yesturday. keep us in your prayers, we love you and miss you.

Sounds like you guys have really been on an emotional roller coaster ride. Parenting is definitely a wild ride of highs and lows, even in the most "normal" circumstances. God ALWAYS gives rest and refreshing when we need it most. Know we are praying for you. Love you guys!
