Day 11 - 3 Yellow Gifts of Fresh Mercy
Yesterday was a good day.
I liked Day 11, mostly I liked that we had to look for gifts that were yellow. Fresh mercy. What exactly is mercy? Here is the definition from dictionary.com:
compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender,an enemy, or other person in one's power; compassion, pity, or benevolence:
I think different versions of the Bible sometimes use the words "loving kindness" in place of the word mercy.
It was fitting that mercy was part of the gifts for the day. Brent and I went to see Les Miserables last night. There were many displays of mercy through-out the movie by what's his name. Honestly, that movie did not make my top 10 list. I'm pretty sure it's not even on the top 100 list.
Have you seen it?
Most of my friends that have seen it shed tears and thought it was such an excellent movie about love and redemption. Yes, he did show mercy to his enemy 3 times, but those were not the parts of the movie that stuck out to me. Perhaps if I were French......
Brent, however, enjoyed it. (although just between us, I don't think he will watch it again)
Day 11 gifts are .............
SUNSHINE!!
It's been raining for a week and after yesterday rain is on the agenda for till Tuesday.

A lighted cross on the neighbors door. The place where compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person was shown to the greatest degree.
A walk with the family. Okay, this is a stretch, but the moss did look yellow yesterday. We grababed up the chance to be out in the sun and the 70 degree weather (in JANUARY! what is that about? I don't know.) and the kids around "the block" for a walk. They love to ride their bikes, scooters, and tricycles. We had fun time, even though Elizabeth busted going down the hill too fast. But she wanted to get right back on her tricycle. She faired only tiny scratches on her hand and arm. She's a tough chick.
Brent and the kids have just returned with breakfast. Happy weekend!
